From Left to Right - (Tim Oliver, Nathan Jacowitz, Pastor Joe Jacowitz, & Seth Lewis) July 4-11, 2008
Pastor Joe Jacowitz of Christ Bible Church along with Nathan Jacowitz, Tim Oliver, and Seth Lewis embarked on a one week trip to London on July 4-11, 2008. They visited the Metropolitan Tabernacle where Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892) once preached. There they attended a three day Bible Conference and heard many powerful, edifying sermons. Seth commented that "the messages were informative, insightful, and challenging." They also were trilled to visit Bristol, where George Muller (1805-1898) the man of faith, once cared for thousands of Orphans. They interviewed Julian Marsh of the Muller Foundation, who gave them a tour and gave them much free literature on the life and work of George Muller. Afterward they visited Muller's gravesite. They also visited the British Museum of History and the Museum of Natural History and saw some great Biblical archeological artifacts. They also visited the Non-Conformist Cemetery where John Bunyan (author of The Pilgrim's Progress), John Owen, John Gill, Isaac Watts and other notable Christian men were buried. "For me," says Seth, "the most special part of the trip was the testimonies of some of the Tabernacles missionary work overseas. One man shared how the Lord has aided him in planting several reformed churches in Ethiopia." We hope you will be blessed by the pictures and testimonies that they have brought back to share with you.
